Health Care
Although women are the primary health providers in
villages, they rarely receive the training and recognition they deserve. SEWAs
healthcare training program has provided new skills and skill upgradation to both rural
and urban women. Working in conjunction with consulting doctors and medical professionals,
members have been trained to provide a variety of healthcare services and now form the
core of SEWAs community health team. This training has not only developed the
capacity of the individual women but also supplies critical, safe healthcare to
communities by providing safe and modern childbirth practices, basic emergency care, and
preventative care such as immunizations.
