This
four-day training course is available to members who have completed the Movement Training.
Kadam means "a step" and the programme is considered a step forward from the
basic leadership training. Potential trainees are carefully selected by reviewing their
performance in the basic training programme and by observing the candidates
leadership in the field. The programme builds on several of the exercises from the basic
course, increasing the level of detail and opportunities for discussion and practicing
skills related to management. Trainees meet with staff and leaders from each programme or
area within SEWA to ensure that leaders deepen their understanding of SEWA so that there
is a common understanding of SEWAs philosophy and operation.
Our leadership training
programmes form the essential core of our capacity building programme. Together, they
ensure that the basic framework, vision and strategies of the movement are understood by
all and that women are able to deliver this message to other women, policy makers, and the
world as leaders.
